** According to the unofficial opinion of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, due to the celebration of the second day of Easter on Monday, May 3, the second day of Labor Day (which falls on Sunday, May 2) is postponed to the next working day, Tuesday – May 4

Additionally, pursuant to Article 4 of the Law on State and Other Holidays in the Republic of Serbia employees have the right not to work on the following religious holidays, as follows:

  • Orthodox – on the first day of Patron saint (in Serbian: Krsna slava);
  • Catholics and members of other Christian religious communities – on the first day of Christmas and on Easter holidays starting from Good Friday until the second day of Easter, according to their calendar;
  • members of the Islamic community – on the first day of Eid al-Fitr and the first day of Eid al-Adha;
  • members of the Jewish community – on the first day of Yom Kippur.
